Words
and Words II are the next installment in the Dynotech range of highly addictive games. If you have played Boxes and been riveted to the screen then this "tetris" style game will have you enthralled.
Both
of these 32 bit graphic programs have 60 different levels of play each with three difficulty settings: Relaxing - as easy as it gets; Challenging - where all the letters fall with random frequency and "I'm a Word Processor" for those who dare! There are six themes ranging from Myths to Modern Times in each version and ten levels associated with each theme.
The
idea of the game is to spell the words in the order they appear before the screen fills up. This is achieved by stacking the coloured letters which are falling from the top of the screen. "Easy!" you cry, but not every falling block has letters attached. Sometimes, Words provides you with Scatter Bombs, Morph Letters, Morphing Lava Rocks, Photon Beams or Crystal Cubes. Some aid you in your quest, others can hinder or even destroy the progress that you have made.
An
added feature of Words are the "Cheat Codes" which let you control several areas of play. You earn these codes by completing a category and after completing all categories you will have gained the Super Cheat Code.
